Equine Assisted Psychotherapy
I believe people sometimes develop behaviors and thinking patterns that are not helpful and can cause undue stress and interpersonal problems. I look for these issues and help my clients set goals for themselves. We work together to change disruptive patterns and adopt new, more helpful lifestyles. It is my belief that everyone has the resources and abilities they need to make changes in their own lives.
The heart of productive counseling is to develop a meaningful and trusting relationship with my clients as the basis for implementing change. I frequently assign homework to practice new behavior and learn more about oneself. This homework might include journal writing, reading, watching movies and/or attending outside events.
